This is one of the worst seasons in Lakers franchise history.
Dealing with sudden change is hard for most people – especially sports fans.
Once again, the Lakers have failed to match their high expectations, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the last 15 games of the season.
I mean, it’s extremely difficult but it can be done. Hopefully our survival guide will make the process a little easier.
SURVIVAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Here are the 5 things you’re going to need to survive the Lakers’ final 15 games of the season.
1. Bottle Of Tums
For every time the Lakers nearly blow it and mess up the tank (I’m looking at you, Wes Johnson).
2. Headphones And A Form Of Relaxation Music
For the moment when Byron Scott benches promising rookie Jordan Clarkson, the Lakers’ only real bright spot on the team this season.
Otis Redding’s Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay is recommended for moments when you seriously need to take a chill pill.
3. Stress Ball
Look, it’s been a long season, but we’re near the end now – finally!
Still, there’s a risk of you damaging your television, laptop, smartphone or Lakers merchandise as we come down the final stretch.
The answer? A stress ball.
Alternatively, watching Julius Randle’s Summer League highlights and looking forward to the return of the Lakers’ talented youngster later this year will likely suffice.
4. Voodoo Doll (optional but highly recommended)
No explanation needed.
5. Set Tankathon.com as your homepage
Look, losing can really suck.
The Lakers are currently on a 4 game losing streak and have won just 1 of their last 9 games.
However, you have to remember that losing is the best option right now.
The Lakers have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, so the more games they lose before now and April 15, the better. Especially seeing as their pick is top-five protected this season.
So, after every game – or when you get bored and just want to sim the lottery until the Lakers end up with the top pick – head over to Tankathon.com and see how the purple and gold are doing in the tank race.
