We’re now halfway through August, yet both Antawn Jamison and Lamar Odom are still free agents. Why? It seems Odom is taking his time to make a decision regarding his future with the Los Angeles Clippers, which is holding up Jamison’s next move, who also has interest in joining the Lakers’ crosstown rivals:
This is relevant to Laker fans as Odom has been linked to the purple and gold this summer, with Mitch Kupchak meeting with the former Sixth Man of the Year earlier this off-season.
However, it appears that the Lakers may have moved on from Odom and prefer to go in a younger direction: just yesterday, they signed rookie forward Elias Harris to a multi-year deal.
Jamison, meanwhile, didn’t have the greatest of years under Mike D’Antoni and won’t return next season.
