Cringe Alert: Dwight Howard and Rockets teammates chant “Howard sucks!” during L.A. return [VIDEO]

This is so bad.

During his first return to Los Angeles last night, Dwight Howard did one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen an NBA basketball player do: He joined in with “Howard sucks!” chants.

But it gets worse: he encouraged his teammates to do the same, too.

These are the kind of antics that Laker fans will not miss. Sure, Howard beat up on an injured and undermanned Lakers team last night and definitely looks like he’s back to 100 percent, but there’s a lot of baggage that the 28-year-old center carries with him, as well as the stupid things he does on the court – like this.

I’m sure Kobe Bryant was in the locker room shaking his head.

You can see Howard getting booed and the like in the video below, though if you just want to see the part where he (awkwardly) gets Patrick Beverley and Chandler Parsons to join in with the chants, skip to the 1:16 part.

But wait, there’s more.

Before the Rockets left L.A. on their team plane, they started up the chant again.

I think Howard fits in just right with these guys..
