People often forget just how good Pau Gasol is. Back in April, the Spaniard made sure to show everybody that he’s still a world class player.

Gasol ended the regular season with two triple-doubles in three games, plus he also had one in the playoffs versus the San Antonio Spurs. Suddenly, with Gasol being featured in the post once again and his chemistry with Dwight Howard growing, the talented 7-footer was beginning to perform at a very high level.

The video below is a bittersweet one; it’s a heck of a game for Pau, who put up 26 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in the April 12 win against the Golden State Warriors, yet it was also the game when Kobe Bryant tore his Achilles tendon.

Nevertheless, it’s great to remember just how good Pau is – hopefully we’ll see more of this next season, especially as he’s been working hard all summer long in order to come into camp healthy.

It’s also worth noting how many times Gasol finds Howard for the easy dunk or lay-in. Good luck finding that kind of delivery in Houston…
