Happy 35th birthday Kobe Bryant! Celebrate by watching his Top 35 scoring performances

Today is the 35th birthday of Kobe Bryant. To celebrate, we’ve put together the Black Mamba’s Top 35 scoring performances, along with the game footage where available.

35. November 17, 2002 vs. Houston – 46 points

On the night when a rookie Yao Ming would drop a career-high 20 points on the Lakers on 9-for-9 shooting, Kobe Bryant put up a fight of his own, scoring 46 points in a four-point loss. Bryant shot 18-for-37 from the field due to Shaquille O’Neal missing the outing due to injury.

Sadly, there’s no footage online of this scoring performance.

34. April 10, 2013 at Portland – 47 points

The game at Number 34 should be fresh in the mind of many a Laker fan; Bryant dropped 48 points on the Blazers earlier this year Kobe had 47 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks and 3 steals in the 113-106 win.

33. January 30, 2001 at Cleveland – 47 points

Again playing without O’Neal, Bryant went off, scoring 47 points on 12-for-26 shooting (including 23-for-26 from the line) to give the Lakers the 102-96 win versus the Cavaliers.

Once again, no footage for this one.

32. January 10, 2012 vs. Phoenix – 48 points

No ligament, no problem. Despite the torn ligament in Kobe’s wrist, the Black Mamba went on to score 48 points on 18-for-31 shooting, which led his squad to a win versus the Suns. He also had 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

31. January 14, 2008 at Seattle – 48 points

Bryant had another 48 points in a trip to Seattle back in 2008. With Andrew Bynum going down with injury the game before – and with Pau Gasol yet to arrive in L.A. – Bryant kept his team in it the whole game and tied the contest up numerous times before hitting the game-winner in OT.
