Lakerholicz.com is an independent website with one aim: bringing Laker fans their daily Lakers fix.

Lakerholicz.com was founded by me, Ross Pickering on January 18, 2012. We’ve made great progress so far and I’ve had a lot of fun along the way. I enjoy interacting with all the Lakers fans around the world and bringing up-to-the-minute news and live game updates as often as possible, even though being based in England, it sometimes makes it hard.

Even so, my love for the Lakers and your enthusiasm makes it all worthwhile.

I’ve also been lucky to find some great volunteers out there too. From blogging to making videos, they all help make Lakerholicz.com what it is.

I feel the site has been growing well, however, I see a lot of room for improvement. I have a lot of ideas for the site going forward and to put the ideas into motion (to put it bluntly) we need money. That’s why I decided to create a “donations” page.

If I donate, where will my money go?

If you are kind enough to donate to Lakerholicz.com, your money will go into a “pool” and – in theory – will go towards:

  • Site fees – e.g. hosting bills
  • Advertisements – growing the Lakerholicz.com reader base by advertising
  • An app – I’ve got lots of great ideas for an app; our site is already “mobile friendly” but an app would take it to the next level
  • Prizes – I’d love to be able to give away more prizes to our readers
  • Bonuses – it’d be great if I could give out bonuses to Lakerholicz.com contributors as a way of saying “thank you”
  • More coverage – ultimately, bringing you, the readers, more coverage of your favorite team is the biggest goal

After I donate, what happens?

First of all, we thank you for doing so! I know it’s tough for everyone right now when it comes to money, but anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated – it all adds up!

After that, your name and Twitter handle will be added to a Lakerholicz.com “donations wall” page – unless you’d rather stay anonymous, that is!

I don’t want this to sounds like a “begging page” or like I’m making Lakerholicz.com seem like a charity case. I totally understand if you can’t donate anything. But, if you enjoy our website and social media accounts, a few bucks would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and go Lakers!
