Nelly calls Kobe Bryant a “spoiled child that L.A. has created”

Nelly had some not-so-nice things to say about Kobe Bryant today on ESPN’s First Take.

Who’s Nelly, you ask? He’s that rapper who had a hit back in 2002 titled “Hot in Herre” – and no, that’s not a typo. That’s the way Nelly spelled it.

Since he dropped that record, Kobe has gone on to win an MVP award and two more NBA championships – he’s been at the top of his game – the same can’t be said for Nelly, though.

Here’s some quotes via First Take’s Twitter feed:

(Who would want to give Nelly another record deal?)

(Nelly wants another hit single or album. HE WON’T GET ONE.)

Though the five-time NBA champion hasn’t officially said anything in response to the rapper, it appears that Kobe later responded to Nelly indirectly with an Instagram post about blocking out the haters.
