I find it to be a little hilarious that people continue to say that Kobe’s career is coming to an end. Yes he is 33 years old and is no longer the high flyer he used to be ten years ago. But make no doubt that Kobe is not close to calling it a career. For all the people and critics who believe Kobe is no longer a threat or one of the best players in this great game of basketball, let’s take a look at these current playoffs.
In 12 games this post season, Kobe scored 30 points or more 7 times and over 40 points twice. Against Denver Kobe had games with 31 points two times, 38 & 43. Against OKC he had games with 36, 38 & 42 points.
Upon exiting the playoffs, Kobe leads all players, averaging 30.0 points per game in the playoffs.
So is Kobe done? It sure doesn’t look like it to me.
