Kobe Bryant paid for $12,000 team dinner in Las Vegas

A lot of people think Kobe Bryant is a bad teammate: the following news from ESPN Los Angeles’ Dave McMenamin says different.

While the Los Angeles Lakers were in Las Vegas earlier this week – and before the Black Mamba caught up with Floyd Mayweather – Kobe Bryant took the entire team out to dinner at STK steakhouse at the Cosmopolitan, according to McMenamin:

The purple and gold are currently out in China, so the team will spend even more time together out there (according to Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding, Bryant and Pau Gasol spent a large portion of the flight chatting with each other) and hopefully do some more bonding, but it was still a cool move by the team’s leader to take his entire squad out to dinner and pay for the trip, especially seeing as they’ll all likely be sick of the sight of each other by the time they arrive back in California.

Of course, paying a $12,000 bill isn’t going to empty the Black Mamba’s bank account, but it’s still a nice move for someone who has been labeled as a “bad teammate” for so many years.
