Kobe Bryant refuses to take baby steps in returning. Instead, he takes huge steps forward.
After tearing his Achilles on a step he has done so many times, he posted a photo on his Instagram today, showing that he can now put pressure on his foot just weeks after surgery.
He is also possibly on track to make a come back during training camp. He originally was expected to possibly make it back for opening night, but in my personal opinion, I think he will be taking jump shots come July and will be ready for training camp and pre-season come September and October.
So, to those who think it would be smart to amnesty Kobe, think again.
The only way I feel the Lakers would use amnesty provision on Kobe Bryant is if he takes a longer time to recover, but knowing Kobe and the type of work ethic he has, he will be on the court come opening night and will be introduced as a starter for the first time since the devastating injury.
That is just my personal prediction: we will wait and see what happens.
Remember, this is Kobe Bryant we are talking about. During his exit interview, he said he will not let this injury get the better of him or beat him. And I don’t doubt that for a second.
Kobe Bryant will be back and he will once again play like Black Mamba we all know and love.
