With the Miami Heat coming to town tonight, the LeBron James vs. Kobe Bryant debates are heating up all over again. One thing that fans have always wondered is what would happen if these two guys played a one-on-one match-up.
Kobe Bryant seems to think that it shouldn’t even be a question as he has said on more than one occasion that he would beat LeBron one-on-one. Yesterday, in an interview with Chris Palmer, Kobe stated again without hesitation that he would defeat LeBron in a one on one match up.
You versus LeBron? Who wins?
Me. No question. As far as one-on-one, I’m the best to ever do it.
Damn. That’s pretty confident.
LeBron is a terric all-around, five-on-five basketball player who’s an all-time great. But I’d get him.
Kobe went on to say that only a guy like Kevin Durant may give him trouble because of his length. It seems that even a 34 year old Kobe is not to be messed with when it comes to one-on-one matchups. He accepts any challenge (Kyire Irving for example) and openly states that he has already beaten guys like Reggie Miller, Grant Hill, T-Mac, Nick Van Exel, and Caron Butler.
It would be amazing to see LeBron and Kobe battle it out one-on-one. How about we get rid of the dunk contest and add this to the All-Star Weekend?
