The new “Hollywood Nights” uniforms are coming, just not tonight versus the Memphis Grizzlies.
Somehow, a rumor got started that the Lakers would be debuting their black uniforms against the Grizzlies – this tied in nicely with the theory that Kobe Bryant was going to make his return versus Memphis. But, as we later found out, Kobe’s semi-cryptic tweet had nothing to do with with black uniforms and/or the Grizzlies.
Instead, the Lakers will first wear their slick new unis on November 27 when the team travels to Brooklyn to face the Nets, according to Lakers.com. Then, they’ll wear the black uniforms another five times with all the remaining games at home.
Check out a breakdown of the schedule below.
NOVEMBER 27 @ BROOKLYN NETS
DECEMBER 31 VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS
JANUARY 31 VS. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
FEBRUARY 28 VS. SACRAMENTO KINGS
MARCH 21 VS. WASHINGTON WIZARDS
APRIL 11 VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
I wonder how many times Kobe will end up wearing this uniform?
