So far this pre-season, Jordan Farmar has only played in one game due to a calf injury – the team’s opening contest against the Golden State Warriors at the beginning of the month. Wesley Johnson hasn’t done much better, appearing on only one full game and a part of another before hurting his foot.
Now, at last, both Farmar and Johnson are good to go Friday in Shanghai, according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell:
Farmar was impressive in his only appearance with the Lakers so far this year; he had 12 points, dished out 7 assists, grabbed 3 rebounds and snatched 3 steals in just 28 minutes of play.
On the other hand, Johnson has struggled in his limited time during pre-season so far: in the team’s first game he recorded just 2 points in 21 minutes. In his second game the following night, Johnson once again scored just 2 points but only played for 8 minutes after suffering the foot injury.
The Lakers will face the Warriors once again at 4:30 am PST on Friday morning before heading back to the Los Angeles to finish up the pre-season and prepare for opening night on October 29.
