Lakers Land Second Overall Pick In 2015 NBA Draft

The Los Angeles Lakers will be picking second at June’s NBA Draft.

After months of waiting, the Lakers finally had their draft position determined tonight after the 2015 NBA Draft Lottery was held in New York City.

The Lakers started their night in fourth – at least record-wise – though they jumped up two spots thanks to the lottery system.

The purple and gold will now have the opportunity to select Jahlil Okafor or Karl Anthony-Towns on June 25.

Here is the final draft order:

1. Minnesota Timberwolves

2. Los Angeles Lakers

3. Philadelphia 76ers

4. New York Knicks

5. Orlando Magic

6. Sacramento Kings

7. Denver Nuggets

8. Detroit Pistons

9. Charlotte Hornets

10. Miami Heat

11. Indiana Pacers

12. Utah Jazz.

13. Phoenix Suns

14. Oklahoma City Thunder
