The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a deal with another training camp invite.
According to Adam Zagoria from SNY.tv, UNLV’s Roscoe Smith has accepted a training camp invite from the purple and gold.
Smith, an undrafted rookie, played for the Lakers’ Summer League team in Las Vegas last month where he averaged 5.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game.
Smith’s deal will likely be non-guaranteed.
During his final season at UNLV, the 6’8″ Smith averaged 11.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game while shooting 53 percent from the field.
One thing Smith does well is rebound the ball and this was evident at the beginning of the 2013-14 college season when the 23-year-old averaged 16.1 rebounds per game over the team’s first six contests.
It was also revealed earlier in the day that the Lakers had agreed to a training camp deal with guard Keith Appling, who played at Michigan State for four seasons before going undrafted this past June.
