Both the Los Angeles Lakers and Steve Nash have tried to put off any discussion about the “r” word in recent weeks, yet it seems that it may be becoming more and more of a reality for the Canadian basketball legend.
According to longtime NBA writer Peter Vecsey, Nash is “seriously” considering retirement after struggling to fight with the pain which is presumably felt in most parts of his body:
After struggling with ankle, neck, back and leg problems already this season, Nash shut it down last week in order to receive an epidural block in an attempt to keep the pain at bay.
Nash has never been the same after breaking his leg last season, with the nerve damaging combining with his troublesome back.
It truly would be sad to see Steve go out this way, but there’s no point in him dealing with chronic pain on a day-to-day basis, especially if it means that he is jeopardizing his future health.
