The Los Angeles Lakers have added yet another player to their workout schedule.
According to Shams Charania from RealGM, the purple and gold are bringing Roscoe Smith for a workout today. Smith was on the Lakers’ training camp roster and impressed quite a few people along the way. The 23-year-old is currently a member of the Lakers’ D-League team, the D-Fenders.
In three games this season for the D-Fenders, Smith is averaging 18.3 points, 16.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1 block in 35.7 minutes per game.
If the Lakers decide to add Smith or any other player to their roster – they’re also rumored to be working out Quincy Miller, Jordan Hamilton and Dwight Buycks, among others – they’ll need to cut one of their current players seeing as they’re already at the league maximum of 15 players.
Smith, along with Jabari Brown, who is also now on the D-Fenders, was the final cut for the Lakers at the end of the preseason.
