Mitch Kupchak To Nick Young: Lou Williams Signing Not “A Slap In The Face”

Nick Young recently met with Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak, according to Mark Medina from the L.A. Daily News, though the meeting’s true purpose wasn’t known – until today.

After he scored the game-winning three in a double overtime contest at the Drew League today, Young told Medina that Kupchak wanted to make it known to the L.A. native that the team signing scorer Lou Williams earlier this month wasn’t meant to be seen as “a slap in the face.”

When the Lakers signed Williams, many thought that it signalled the end of Young’s career in Los Angeles.¬†However – despite trying to trade Swaggy P, per Medina – the Lakers clearly¬†think that Williams and Young can play alongside each other.
