Nash thinks Kobe will be back by Thanksgiving

Up until this point, nobody with direct ties to the Los Angeles Lakers has put a timetable on Kobe Bryant‘s return. Steve Nash has just changed that.

The Canadian told Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports that he expects the Black Mamba to return to the court somewhere between opening night and Thanksgiving:

Now, I know Nash is Canadian, so I quickly asked my best friend (Google) when Thanksgiving is in Canada; it’s October 14, so Nash is obviously referring to the American version which is on November 28 this year. The season starts on October 29 when the Lake Show take on their crosstown rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, so Nash has either been told – or is just estimating – that Bryant will be back within the first month of the season.

Again, Kobe knows he can’t rush this injury and he needs to be 100 percent ready when he finally returns to the court, but I don’t think anybody would be all that surprised to see the Black Mamba suiting up in the purple and gold once again within the next few months.
