This is exactly the kind of situation Swaggy P was hoping to avoid.
Yesterday, it was announced that Nick Young would be out for the Lakers’ two road games, though it seems he could be out for much longer.
Young, who returned to the court on Sunday, sat out last night’s game in Indiana and will miss the game in Memphis tonight, too, due to ongoing pain and swelling in his injured left knee.
After Sunday night’s game, Young said that he had returned to the court sooner than he should have due to this being a contract year for him. Also, Young didn’t want to get lost in the shuffle with Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks seeing big minutes since arriving in L.A. last Wednesday.
Young also admitted that he didn’t take an MRI before returning due to fearing the results.
However, it now looks like the 28-year-old may need to get an MRI in the near future seeing as he “could be out a while,” according to Bill Oram from the O.C. Register:
Hopefully, this doesn’t end up being a longterm thing for Young and he’ll be able to return in time to play a good twenty or so games before the end of the season.
