Pau Gasol felt a “pop” when he went down late in the game, will get an MRI on Wednesday

Pau Gasol left the game on Tuesday night during the fourth quarter after he fell to the ground after contesting a Brook Lopez shot attempt.

It was unclear at the time what had happened, but after the game, the Lakers billed it as a plantar fasciitis strain in his right foot.

However, Gasol later told reporters that he felt a “pop” when he went down late in the game after going for the block on Lopez. He left the arena in a boot and on crutches. He’ll get an MRI tomorrow in Boston: let’s hope it’s nothing serious.
