Pau Gasol has plantar fasciitis in his right foot, probable for tonight’s game

It has been announced by the Lakers that Pau Gasol has plantar fasciitis in his right foot – it was discovered yesterday after he underwent an MRI scan.

Here’s what Wikipedia says about the condition:

Plantar fasciitis (PF) is a painful inflammatory process of the plantar fascia, the connective tissue on the sole (bottom surface) of the foot. It is often caused by overuse of the plantar fascia or arch tendon of the foot. It is a very common condition and can be difficult to treat if not looked after properly.

Pau is currently listed as “probable” for tonight’s game versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
