Could Pau Gasol make a return to the Los Angeles Lakers this summer?
Gasol, who left the Lakers during free agency in 2014, is back on the market after opting out of his deal with the Chicago Bulls.
While Gasol is certain to have a number of interesting suitors – including the Golden State Warriors – the Spaniard is also said to be “open” about the idea of returning to the team where he won two NBA championships.
Adrian Wojnarowski from The Vertical shared the following tidbit during his live free agency show last night:
Woj: "Gasol is open to a return to the Lakers if they’re interested in him."

Gasol left the purple and gold after feeling undervalued by the franchise, though it seems the idea of maybe retiring as a Laker appeals to the 36-year-old, as well as playing for his former teammate Luke Walton.
However, after committing $64 million over four years to Timofey Mozgov shortly after the beginning of free agency, the prospect of Gasol returning to the Lakers probably isn’t on the cards – at least not right now.
