Pau Gasol says he still doesn’t feel good physically

Pau Gasol sat out for an extended period last month with an aim to reduce the tendinitis in his knees. While that’s subsided, he now has other problems. pau-gasol-bobcats

Here’s what he said after Tuesday’s loss to the Sixers, according to Mark Medina:

“I didn’t feel great or didn’t feel good physically,” Gasol said. “It might happen some nights. Hopefully it won’t be the majority of the nights. I’m fighting through my issues and I’m trying to do what I can and do my best.”

You can see Pau isn’t fit right now; he can hardly jump off the ground. Ironically, Pau is actually playing better away from the basket  instead of his preferred position of the post. He just can’t seem to get the lift to score or defend in the paint right now.

Should the Lakers shut him down again? It might have to be considered if he has more games like the one versus Philadelphia the other night.
