On the day that Jerry Sloan returned to the Utah Jazz – not as a coach, though – Phil Jackson‘s attire caught the eye of a few Laker fans.
Before working out with his personal trainer, Phil put up some free throws while wearing some Los Angeles Lakers pants. Of course, in reality, this means nothing seeing as Phil was once a coach with the Lakers and probably has stacks of purple and gold clothing left over from his days with the team, not to mention his fiancé is pretty well connected to the franchise.
Nevertheless, it was fun to see Phil shooting lefty free throws while wearing some Lakers gear. Phil even referenced the free throw shooting woes of Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard in last night’s Game 6:
With Sloan returning to the Jazz today as a senior basketball adviser, some Laker fans have called for their team to do the same with Phil. While bringing Phil into the front office would undoubtedly improve the Lakers’ basketball operations, his philosophy (no pun intended) is different to that of current head coach, Mike D’Antoni, which would likely cause a clash of some kind.
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that a pair of Lakers pants have caused a bit of a stir this off-season: last month, Dwight Howard was spotted fishing at Lake Tahoe last month while donning purple and gold sweats.
