Shannon Brown was traded to the Washington Wizards on Friday, however, he is expected to be waived by Washington and will likely become a free agent.
Reports on Saturday claimed that the Lakers were in the mix to sign Brown once he clears waivers, however, the team currently has a roster of 15 which means a player would have to be cut by the purple and gold in order to sign Shannon.
The four remaining players with non-guaranteed contracts are Ryan Kelly, Xavier Henry, Elias Harris and Shawne Williams – if the Lakers were to cut a player in order to sign Brown, it’d likely be a non-guaranteed guy.
There’s also the question of whether Brown would be able to find minutes on a team that is already laden with guards.
So, should the Lakers waive one of their current players and sign Shannon Brown? Vote in our poll below.
