Despite the loss of Pau Gasol for an extended period of time and Dwight Howard‘s back/shoulder problems, the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t looking to bring in another big man at this time, according to Ramona Shelburne:
Lakers not eyeing any FA bigs right now, according to a source. Still evaluating. Want to see how much Dwight (shoulder) can give them.

Maybe the Lakers will see how the team fares in the next two games at home before the All-Star break, when they face the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers. The break will also give the team some time to assess their options.
Alternatively, they could wait until the trade deadline to see if anything comes along. Or, after the deadline, some players may begin to get bought out by their respective teams and then hit the free agent market.
