I guess I should do “Tweet of the Day” more often. Somedays, though, it’s hard to find a good tweet. That’s usually only on the occasions that Metta World Peace stays off Twitter, however. 

Today, Metta was asking his followers to help him pick a movie for the flight back to Los Angeles.

“The Notebook was such a Great Movie,” MWP stated, “I am going to watch I AM SAM on the plane..Is that a eye waterer movie?”

This is why we love, Metta. Despite being one of the toughest players ever to take to a basketball court, off the hardwood he does stuff like watch The Notebook and tweets random things such as, ‘following one new person tonight for two days,” – I mean, how does he even come up with this stuff?!

Anyway, the Tweet of the Day went to him for reacting to an apparent onslaught of Twitter LOLs and SMHs regarding his The Notebook tweet.

Metta’s love for Titanic is nothing new. He’s tweeted about it before in the past and even sung the theme song in a Filipino household (it’s true, there’s video evidence below):

Hopefully Metta will continue to tweet gems such as this and I’ll be able to do a “Tweet of the Day” post more often.

Oh, and for the record, I didn’t cry over Titanic. However, I’m not a hardcore gangster, so I guess I don’t qualify.
