Jodie Meeks‘ first year with the Los Angeles Lakers was an up-and-down experience. At one point, Meeks was shooting the lights out and was looking like a steal, and then at other times he was struggling to make a shot from downtown. However, this isn’t something out of the ordinary for shooters, and the only way to get out of a slump is to keep shooting.
What was consistent all year long for Meeks was his effort and hustle on the defensive end; while he isn’t the biggest guy in the world, his effort goes a long way. James Worthy noted this during Meeks’ Media Day interview with Time Warner Cable SportsNet.
Also in the interview, Meeks talks about the current state of the team and the franchise’s expectations for this season.
