VIDEO: Kobe Bryant Tells Ellen He “Couldn’t Believe” His 60-Point Finale Actually Happened

Ellen DeGeneres landed Kobe Bryant’s first post-retirement interview, and he seems at peace with his decision

It’s been a couple of weeks since Kobe Bryant retired from the game of basketball, yet it seems that the Black Mamba still has no regrets.

In his first interview since retiring on April 13, Bryant sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to discuss his 60-point finale – “I couldn’t believe that it actually happened,” Kobe said – and shared that he was glad to be able to walk away from the game on his own terms.

Among other topics, Kobe also discussed a few off-court matters, such as his current relationship with Shaquille O’Neal and how he’s a better dancer while sitting down.

“Once I stand up, it doesn’t connect,” Kobe said.

Bryant also spoke about how he enjoys playing basketball at home with his family, and revealed that his youngest daughter, Gianna, could possibly go into sports due to her competitive nature – I wonder where she gets that from?

Also while appearing on the show, Kobe teamed up with Ellen to pull off a hilarious undercover camera prank, so make sure you check that out, too.
