VIDEO: Kobe Bryant receives loud cheers during 2014 All-Star Game introductions

He wasn’t playing, but he was still in the building.

Last night’s All-Star Game definitely wasn’t as exciting without Kobe Bryant out there playing, though he still stole the show for many by simply being a part of the festivities.

Despite only appearing in six games so far this season, Bryant’s popularity was more evident than ever as he heard loud cheers from the New Orleans crowd after being introduced by the public address announcer.

Kobe was later the centre of attention once again as he joined the TNT broadcast crew during the game and took part in a live interview.  The Black Mamba could easily be spotted on the bench, too, due to his light-colored suit.

So, even though we didn’t get to see Bryant on the court during his 16th All-Star selection, his presence was definitely felt and he showed that he’s still one of the league’s most popular players.
