VIDEO: Kobe says he’ll recruit players to Lakers to ensure they’re competitve after he retires

Kobe Bryant not only wants to win now, but he also wants the Los Angeles Lakers to continue to be successful once he retires.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Bryant revealed that he’ll be recruiting players to the franchise to ensure that they are competitive in the future as well as now.

Next summer, the team could have around $28 million in cap space to spend during free agency. Players such as Carmelo Anthony, Luol Deng, Greg Monroe, Eric Bledsoe, Gordon Hayward and even LeBron James could be possible targets for the Lakers, and it looks as if Bryant will be a big part of the team’s pitch during that time.
