Just hours after signing his second 10-day contract, Manny Harris went off against the New York Knicks.
In just 19 minutes of play, the 24-year-old registered 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting (including 2-of-3 from three-point range) and grabbed two steals.
Harris also blocked Carmelo Anthony’s layup attempt, which just put an exclamation point on his impressive performance.
18 points wasn’t a career-high for Harris – he once scored 27 points while with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011 – though it was still very impressive and hopefully a sign to come.
If Harris keeps on playing like this, he could very well see himself earning a full-time roster spot on this team.
Harris was called up from the Lakers’ D-League affiliate, the D-Fenders, earlier this month after putting up impressive numbers across the board, including a D-Fenders franchise record 49 points versus Idaho.
