Pau Gasol showed on Friday night that he wouldn’t let the ongoing trade rumors distract him on the basketball court.

The Spaniard put up 23 points, 17 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 blocks in the Lakers’ win against the Utah Jazz.

Gasol seemed to be moving much better than we’ve seen in recent times, and he appeared to be healthy enough to bring out the entire arsenal: from finesse post moves to draining mid-range jumpers, Pau was doing it all last night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are said to be reluctant to send assets back to the Lakers in a potential deal for Pau, though if this is the type of Gasol the Cavs would get, they’d surely need to at least cough up one asset: if Gasol is relatively healthy and engaged, Cleveland could easily see themselves moving into the playoff picture in the East.
