With Robert Horry rumored to be a candidate to land an assistant coaching job under Byron Scott next season, this video just got a little more interesting.
Horry recently sat down with Time Warner Cable SportsNet’s Jaime Maggio to discuss the Lakers’ roster next season. During the interview, Horry mentioned how the team should limit Kobe Bryant’s minutes next season much like Gregg Popovich has done with Tim Duncan in San Antonio. Horry also suggested Bryant take a step back on offense next season in order to allow players like Nick Young to take away some of the scoring load from the soon-to-be 36-year-old.
And, while discussing other key contributors next season such as Carlos Boozer, Jeremy Lin and Jordan Hill, Horry also explained how Scott has shown that he’s able to adapt his coaching style depending on the kind of roster he has at his disposal.
Keep in mind that Horry could end up being on the Lakers’ bench next season while you watch the video below.
