VIDEO: Watch Xavier Henry score 29 points in his Lakers debut

Xavier Henry will never forget the events that transpired on Saturday night.

The 22-year-old signed with the Los Angeles Lakers this summer for the exact same reason as many other of L.A.’s newcomers: he wanted to put himself back on the map – he certainly did that in his debut for the purple and gold.

Henry put up 29 points on 9-for-15 shooting in just 26 minutes of playing time. He also grabbed 7 rebounds and had 2 steals.

Of course, this was only one game and it’s still very early, but if Henry can play just half as good as this every night he could easily find himself earning a roster spot on this team.
