The Lakers play at Golden State tonight, but what happened the last time they were there? Well, an ex-Laker big man and a current one both had unforgettable games, but for very different reasons.
For Andrew Bynum, it was the time that “YOLO Bynum” well and truly arrived after he shot a three-pointer and got benched for it:
This was seemingly the beginning of the end for Bynum as a Laker, although we got plenty and jokes and memes from his Reggie Miller moment:
Dwight Howard – the current Lakers’ big man – had a huge game when he last played in the Warriors’ building. He put up 45 points and grabbed 23 rebounds, while Golden State’s head coach Mark Jackson fouled Howard to send him to the line and set a league record for free throw attempts at 39:
Hopefully, Howard can have just as big a game tonight: he should get a boost from the return of Steve Nash. He’s got to his his free throws too, though, as Jackson plans to once again implement the Hack-A-Howard strategy.
