Last night, versus the Charlotte Bobcats, Kobe Bryant went scoreless through the first two quarters and then exploded for 20 points in the second half, including 14 in the fourth quarter.
When was the last time this happened? Bryant’s sophomore season, according to Elias:
Kobe Bryant scored 20 points, all in the second half, as the Lakers defeated the Bobcats. The last time Bryant scored 20 or more points in a game, all in the second half was on December 12, 1997 against the Rockets. Kobe scored 27 second-half points after being blanked in the first half in a game he did not start.
As well as his 20 points in the second half, Bryant also dished out 6 assists in the final two periods.
