Xavier Henry joins Twitter; tweets about first day with Lakers

Every Laker (apart from Robert Sacre) is now on Twitter – even the new additions are on board.

Last week, former lottery pick Xavier Henry signed with theLos Angeles Lakers and promptly joined the Twittersphere. After taking a few days to make his way to L.A. and then complete his physical, Henry was finally cleared to workout and play with the team. Today he took to his new Twitter account to share his excitement about joining the purple and gold:

The other new additions of Nick Young and Wesley Johnson, who bumped into Henry at the Lakers’ practice facility in El Segundo, gave the guard a shout out on Twitter in an attempt to boost his following:

The 22-year-old Henry, who has struggled to find a home in the NB A thus far, will have a chance to make a name for himself this season while playing under the bright lights of Hollywood. The Lakers are taking their chances on players like Henry this summer; it’s probably a good idea and the ideal time for an experiment such as this.
