Kobe Bryant named Western Conference Player of the Week…again

Kobe Bryant has been named Western Conference Player of the Week again, after averaging 33.0 points, 8.8 assists, 5.8 rebounds per game. The Lakers went 3-1 over the course of the week, with wins coming versus the New Orleans Hornets, Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls.

In comeback wins versus the Hornets and Raptors, Bryant became the first Lakers player since Jerry West in 1970 to put up back-to-back games of 40+ points and 10+ assists rebounds.

It seems the NBA has taken notice of Kobe’s play as of late, moving him up to 2nd in their weekly MVP race.
