The Los Angeles Lakers are making a lot of calls right now.
The purple and gold’s search for a center continues as they have been linked to JaVale McGee and Amir Johnson, according to the San Francisco Chronicle and Philly.com.
The Lakers have also “registered interest” in guard Lance Stephenson, per Darren Wolfson.
#Twolves, Knicks, 76ers, Lakers, Pacers, others have registered interest in FA Lance Stephenson. But all of those teams have many other balls up in the air, presumably waiting on others first.

There are two restricted free agents the purple and gold are also said to be pursuing, center Clint Capela from the Houston Rockets and Aaron Gordon from the Orlando Magic.
Unrestricted free DeMarcus Cousins will also meet with the Lakers, according to numerous reports. LeBron James is said to be “interested” in playing with the big man, so L.A. will possibly have an added incentive there to get a deal done with the All-Star, despite him suffering an Achilles injury in January.
One of the Lakers’ main targets, Paul George, agreed to re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder as free agency began last night.
