The Los Angeles Lakers are being linked to every name under the sun right now – but that’s a good thing, at least Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka are doing their due diligence.
After it being revealed that the Lakers were arranging to meet Houston Rockets big man Clint Capela, the purple and gold have now been linked to yet another restricted free agent.
According to Marc J. Spears from The Undefeated, the Lakers have been linked to high-flying forward Aaron Gordon from the Orlando Magic.
Outside of the Magic, a source said another team to keep an eye on in regards to Magic RFA forward Aaron Gordon is the Los Angeles Lakers. Magic GM John Hammond has already told @TheUndefeated that the hope is to re-sign @UncleDrewFilm star long-term. https://t.co/qr2HFFrBd9

It appears unlikely that the Magic would let Gordon go, but then again it’s well worth the Lakers taking a chance and looking into the possibility of signing the 22-year-old.
The Lakers also plan to meet with DeMarcus Cousins who is an unrestricted free agent and could be a key piece when it comes to getting a commitment from LeBron James, who some NBA executives believe is heading to the purple and gold.
