While Kobe Bryant’s return date still isn’t set in stone just yet, there’s a possibility that the Black Mamba might make his return in about two weeks time.

Kobe told reporters tonight that he’s almost completed a weeks worth of “solid conditioning” and has said that he’ll need three weeks of training before he returns to the court:

It’s unclear whether Bryant would take the practice court while he ups his conditioning – Mike D’Antoni has previously said that Kobe will need a few weeks of practice before he can play again in a real game.

Of course, Bryant won’t return too soon – he told Kevin Frazier in an interview for Time Warner Cable SportsNet earlier this week that he has no idea when he’ll suit up in the purple and gold once again – but this could be a sign that the Black Mamba is inching closer and closer to his eventual return to the hardwood.
