Lakers Reach Summer League Agreements With Undrafted Rookies Robert Upshaw, Brandon Ashley

The Los Angeles Lakers selected three players in Thursday’s 2015 NBA Draft, though they continued to put in work after the 60th pick had been announced and the festivities were over.

After the draft concluded, the Lakers secured Summer League agreements with Washington’s Robert Upshaw and Arizona’s Brandon Ashely, according to Shams Charania from Real GM:

Upshaw, a 7-foot, 21-year-old center from Fresno, California, averaged 10.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in 24.9 minutes per game last season and was projected by Draft Express to go at number 45.

Ashley, meanwhile, is a 6’9″ power forward from Oakland, California. The 20-year-old put up averages of 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game last season.

Upshaw and Ashley will join a stacked Lakers Summer League roster that will feature the likes of Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell, among others.
