Whatever happens, it appears that at least one “Gordon” will be wearing purple and gold this summer.
According to Aaron Gordon’s Instagram account, his 23-year-old brother, Drew Gordon, is set to suit up for the Lakers’ Summer League team in Las Vegas this July.
Aaron, who is projected to be a lottery pick later this month, worked out for the Lakers yesterday and revealed the news about his brother – who is currently playing in Italy – later in the day.
“Man shout out to my big bro grindin overseas in the semifinals,” Gordon wrote. “[Can’t] wait to see you put in work with the Lakers during summer league. Keep doin your thing Brody, it’ll all pay off soon.”
Drew entered the NBA Draft in 2012 after playing at UCLA and New Mexico, though he went undrafted and decided to head overseas.
This news means there’s a chance that both Gordon brothers could end up being on the Lakers’ Summer League squad if Aaron falls to seventh in the draft on June 26th.
