Lakers Rumors: Goran Dragic Tells Suns He Won’t Re-Sign This Summer, L.A. On List Of Preferred Trade Destinations

Well, things could get interesting here.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Goran Dragic has told the Phoenix Suns that he will not sign an extension with them this summer.

Dragic’s agent has provided the Suns with a list of teams he would like his client to be traded to, per Wojnarowski, and the Lakers are said to be one of the those teams.

It’s not clear what the Suns are looking for in exchange for Dragic at this moment in time, though it was reported last week that Phoenix were searching for a first-round pick in exchange for the point guard.

The Lakers currently own Houston’s 2015 first-round selection.

Aside from Dragic’s desire to be traded to the Lakers, Phoenix may also be motivated to trade the 28-year-old to Los Angeles as his arrival could result in more wins over the remaining 29 games of the season for the purple and gold.

Phoenix will receive the Lakers’ 2015 first-round draft pick if it falls out of the top-five. Right now, the Lakers have the fourth-worst record in the league.

The trade deadline is set for 12:00 PM PST on Thursday.
