Since Summer League, the Los Angeles Lakers have only made one signing, despite a few others rumors that have been floating around.
That “one signing” was Jonathan Holmes. The “few others” are Michael Frazier, Metta World Peace and Robert Upshaw.
The Lakers reportedly reached an agreement with Frazier, though nothing has been announced since then, while the World Peace rumors have only just surfaced.
As for Upshaw, it was reported during Summer League that the team had agreed to a two-year deal with the undrafted rookie center, though nothing has happened since that time.
According to Eric Pincus from the L.A. Times, the Lakers “have no immediate plans” to ink Upshaw to a deal:
Of course, there’s still time for Upshaw to sign a deal with the Lakers before now and training camp, so we’ll see what happens in the coming weeks.
