NBA: Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks

The Los Angeles Lakers might not be done adding players to their roster.

According to Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld, the Lakers are interested in Austin Daye and even had him work out for them today:

Daye, a 25-year-old 6’11” small forward who would probably play the 4 in Mike D’Antoni‘s system, last suited up for the Memphis Grizzlies after getting traded from the Detroit Pistons earlier this year.

With career averages of 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, Daye is best known for his shooting and has shot 35% from three-point range over his career. In the 2010-11 season, Daye shot 40% from deep. Before being traded to the Grizzlies, Daye was shooting 52% from three with the Pistons.

Daye is another NBA player who appeared at the Drew League over the weekend, putting up 25 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists. He was just beaten by Nick Young for Player of the Week, though, who had 43 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in one outing.
