Larry Nance Jr. selected to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest

After 3 years, Air Nance is finally participating in the Slam Dunk Contest

Today, the NBA announced that Larry Nance Jr. was selected to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend.

Indiana’s guard Victor Oladipo, Dallas’ guard Dennis Smith Jr., and Orlando’s forward Aaron Gordon will be his opponents. Both Oladipo and Gordon have previous experience in this contest. Gordon’s participation was one of the most memorable ones of all time. Back in 2016, him and Zach LaVine competed for the championship with some amazing dunks.

Larry will be considered one of the underdogs, but us Lakers fans know what he is capable of. The dunks on Brook Lopez, David West, and Kevin Durant are just a few examples of his abilities. Larry’s athleticism is elite, we will just have to wait and see how creative he gets with his dunks.

This year, the All-Star Weekend will be hosted by Los Angeles, and having a Laker represent the city in this contest is amazing. Let’s hope that he makes it a night to remember in Los Angeles. You got this Larry!
