OFFICIAL: Lakers Sign Marcelo Huertas To One-Year Deal

The Los Angeles Lakers have officially signed Brazilian guard Marcelo Huertas to a one-year deal.

The team’s agreement with the F.C. Barcelona player was first reported last month, though the 32-year-old actually visited the Lakers’ practice facility today and put pen to paper.

According to Eric Pincus from the L.A. Times, Huertas has signed a one-year, non-guaranteed rookie deal worth $525k:

Huertas, 6’3″, averaged 8.5 points, 4.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 36.5 percent from three-point range for Barcelona last season. Huertas is also a career 87 percent free-throw shooter.
